      • Our Story Begins in the Wild

Born in the Delta. Guided by tradition. Driven by purpose.

      • About us

        Your Journey. Our Heritage.

Okavango Wild Trails was born from a deep-rooted love for Botswana’s wilderness — and a commitment to sharing it authentically with the world. Founded by experienced safari guides and community members from the heart of the Delta, we are a locally owned safari company offering immersive mobile camping experiences across some of the most iconic and untouched regions of northern Botswana.

Our safaris take you beyond the game drive — from mokoro excursions through winding waterways to campfire nights under star-lit skies, each journey is personal, raw, and unforgettable. Whether you're exploring the floodplains of the Okavango, tracking lions in Moremi, or waking to the call of fish eagles in Khwai, we guide you with passion, respect, and a deep knowledge of the land.

      • Our History

Okavango Wild Trails was founded by Custard Samoya, a seasoned guide with over a decade of experience leading safaris across the Delta. What began as a dream to offer authentic, community-led wildlife experiences has grown into a trusted name in mobile safaris. Drawing on generations of local knowledge, we create journeys that not only showcase wildlife, but also honour the people and cultures of Botswana.

Our team includes expert guides, skilled chefs, and dedicated camp crews — many of whom are from nearby villages — all working together to ensure your journey is seamless, safe, and soulful.

        Our mission

To offer authentic, responsible, and community-driven safari experiences that connect travelers with Botswana’s wild beauty while empowering local people and protecting natural heritage.

        Our vision

To be a leading force in eco-tourism and cultural preservation, where each safari journey supports conservation, celebrates local heritage, and inspires a deeper respect for Africa’s wilderness.
